The dinner and breakfast were good, but not great.The wilds are very nice for a day or two if you go on a weekday. The time slot that we had booked ahead of time for the safari to see the animals at the Wilds was slated for 12 pm. Also an open air tour. Almost worth the costWe had an excellent time. The view from the yurt wasn't great, basically into the tress. The yurts are spacious and welcoming.

7, 8 and 9 are steep walks so be prepared. Overall, it was a very fun experience.
The yurt itself was nice.
They have AC, heat, and windows. We stayed in the Grand Yurt and it lived up to its name. 2. A full indoor-bathroom including shower, toilet, sink and hot and cold water.
The Wilds has 9 standard yurts and one Grand yurt. Great experience would do it again for sure! The Wilds hosted us in a Premium Yurt at Nomad Ridge. The Wilds is almost 10,000 acres and is a open range habitat. All yurts fit two adults (21 and over). Be aware that there is a large "skylight" in the top of the yurt with no window shade, so in the morning it can be very bright when the sun rises. Bring your own drinks because there really isn't much for you to buy or snack on. We enjoyed the evening sitting around the fire pit talking with other guests, drinking hot chocolate, overlooking the animals and beautiful landscape.

We stayed in Yurt #10. The food was excellent, the staff was most helpful, the scenery was awesome, and hearing the mating calls of the Pere David bulls in the dark made me feel like I was in Africa - for real! It is pretty cool to hear the animals while laying bed.
The yurt had a large wooden deck overlooking one of the many lakes and a meadow. This ended up being a great time slot as after we were finished with the safari, we only had a short time before we could check in to our yurt at 3 pm.
The compt dinner and breakfast were just ok. There are many ways to experience it but I took the open-bus safari then stayed overnight at Nomad Ridge in a yurt - a circular tent that was one of the most unforgettable lodgings I have ever had in my travels. Just remember no kids allowed.The Wilds is a 10,000 acre animal sanctuary populated by endangered or extinct-in-the-wild animals, mostly grazers. The menu could be larger and more choices.
Full Payment Required. Includes breakfast and dinner which was nothing exceptional but good. Tour was great but next time I would upgrade so we could feed the animals. However, it was lovely.
