You can add smaller connecting trails to lengthen the hike.Nice trail. just off of PA 322. Not a very exciting hike. Started around 8am on a Friday and passed easily 40 people, including a 10 person track team. There is a small portion you’ll have to cross a windy road, cars are driving fast.This is a great local hike. Very peaceful. The distance is approximately one mile roundtrip, or 20 to 30 minutes walking at an average pace. There are nice views and I find it the most beautiful during the fall when the trees are changing colors.Beautiful forests and beautiful creek. You ride along the creek. More traffic than I expected, including families with kids and dogs off leash. The $8 entrance fee for non-DE residents will keep me from returning as there are better free options in PA.Nice trail around Brandywine Creek! There is also parking on Harmony Hill Rd. Also, there are some picnic tables along the way. Since it was a Tuesday, we did not encounter lots of walkers or other bikers. Wasn’t really well marked so I followed AllTrails. In this case, the top layer is Berea Sandstone. Trail crosses I-44 in Woodson Park and continues eastward on SW Grand Boulevard for several miles before crossing under I-35 and then turns north into Trosper Park at SW 29th. Gorgeous parking area to hang out afterwards for picnicsThe starting point is at the Brandywine Creek State Park office where free trail maps are available.Nice loop trail mostly along the edge of the creek. Not too much elevation but a lovely walk. I actually think I prefer this trail. The walk goes from this starting point to the meadow across from the John Chads House. It is hoped that this system will someday afford connections between Philadelphia, Norristown, King of Prussia, Downingtown, and West Chester.
