Similarly, after a few years on handlebars with flattened tops, I never really savoured the all-round Storck bars.The Aenario utilises a tapered headtube with a standard 1.125-inch upper bearing and 1.25-inch lower bearing in the headset, which is mated with Storck’s Stiletto 300 carbon fork.The frame’s stiffness was abrupt at times, however I never found it harsh or uncomfortable. Not so much that I couldn’t ride it well, but a 60cm option would be nice.The funny thing is, neither of us can pinpoint any one particular thing that stood out that made the bike such a great ride. Well, perhaps the fork…it’s amazingly stiff and tracks like it’s on rails. The Absolutist corners well, pedals efficiently, goes fast and somehow doesn’t beat you up over gravelly, winter-worn country roads. The fact that team kitted hammerheads on the group ride will keep checking it out is pure bonus, and the frame is worth upgrading as your talent and/or budget grows. This is said to give improved carbon performance, more stability with the carbon sheets making it lots more durable and flexible.This makes the bike in this build an eye-watering £10,714. But considering how light it is and how stiff, it provides a decent amount of compliance.The German brand also says it has saved around 11 watts thanks to the improved fork design over the Aerfast (Storck’s dedicated aero machine) and the fork is better at reducing side flex too.Storck's Fascenario.3 Platinum is an amazing performance bike that'll be sure to improve any ride time over any course. The Aerfast is a brilliant ride: it’s urgent, light and agile, with the sort of comfort some endurance bikes can only dream of. The addition of the deep Edco Aerosport Gesero wheel of course helped this style of riding.This build includes Edco Aerosport Gesero wheels, Enve Smart bars, Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9150 and a SRM power meter (but we will ignore that for now, although this does make the overall weight of 6.73kg even more impressive).Although the ride wasn’t brutal, it certainly isn’t the most comfortable bike I’ve ridden.
