It’s a classy touch that certainly appeals to the AvGeek in me. In any case, the facial was relaxing and hydrating — exactly what my skin needed after a whirlwind weekend in Lisbon.If none of those seats are available, “C” and “J” seats are solo on either side of the cabin, though they’re not “protected” from the aisle.This newly refreshed space is large, open, airy and beautifully appointed.Besides the main room, there are many nooks for relaxing, working and dining, with seating spread throughout the space.The footwell wasn’t particularly capacious for the large and clunky boots I had on, but once I took them off, it felt a little roomier. I’m not the biggest fan of smoked salmon but I loved the veggies and yoghurt.There are several different stations set up with hot and cold food options. However, even if you end up travelling next to a stranger in the centre pair, the seat divider can be raised to increase privacy.Finally! I’m glad I asked, too, because they weren’t very big. Several of the crew members were clearly excited to be on board the still-new A350, so we shared that bond.The focal point of the lounge is a space called Le Balcon: a self-serve bar surrounded by striking navy velvet booths housed in a luxurious light-wood frame and topped by an ornate, shimmering, golden ceiling installation. . In addition, passengers can expect a brand new business class product onboard: the Zodiac Optima. This lounge clearly was designed with wellness in mind.Each seat measures 21 inches wide and reclines fully flat to form a bed that’s 78 inches long, which is about 6 feet 6 inches — plenty of room for my 5-foot-10-inch frame.
Customers enjoy a 96cm seat pitch to stretch out their legs and a large 13.3-inch HD touchscreen. The unique layout of Air France's newest business class adopts the same 'mix and match' approach as seen in United Airlines' latest Polaris business class.
But it’s still a well-rounded product with flashes of fun French style.
… in Premium Economy, there is a brand new “Recliner” seat which replaces the shell-type seat that exists in the rest of the seat, but features the same elegant fabric pattern.What is nice to see is the carrier has made a clear shift away from the Patriotic Red White and Blue cabins of the past, and has embraced a chic French approach to the colour and trim, reflecting Parisian and French culture as a whole with subtle pastel colours, elegant details and a calm, sophisticated neutral tonal palette.But the real differences can be seen in Business Class (Affaires) and Premium Economy where brand new seat concepts will create a somewhat different experience.Air France has opted for a brand new seat in Business Class, yet another new seat after its latest A330 product which disappointingly offered a 2 x 2 x 2 configuration.

While we enjoy the new cabin design, one of the nice things about travelling Air France was the feeling of space, and compared to its Dutch sister, the Business Class cabin was always preferable from a matter of space and comfort. Air France will be introducing a brand new aircraft to their fleet this coming September.
